April 2011
We make a mid-April trip to Sedona, Arizona only to be blanketed by a surprise snow storm! We woke up the morning of the ninth to about four inches of wet, heavy snow. For a few hours in the morning and early afternoon, the snow looked great against the red rock and desert plants. By the late afternoon and evening, a lot of the snow had become slush, and was gone the next day. The unusual snow storm gave us an atypical view of the Red Rock country covered in white.
The morning of the tenth, we awake to blue skies. There is a smattering of snow left, mostly on house roofs and up high in the rocks. Otherwise, it looks just as we woulde expect in the spring - glorious weather! We take a little drive, and head up to the chapel in the rock to take in some great views.
The last day, we spent a little time in an arts and crafts fair/market. Some really cool stuff, for sure. These are just a few of the more colorful examples.
