9. You should know how long that you want the front of the hair to be at this point. Chin length? Longer? Just remember that hair stretches when wet and if it has any body to it will "bounce back" and become shorter when dry. For example hair cut to chin length when wet may wind up at cheekbone length when dry! It is always better to be conservative, you can always make it shorter, but you will have to wait for it to grow if you wind up with it shorter than you would like.
