From Elezer's will:
In September of 1873 my first wifes five children claimed....two of the boys sold their leases....My first wife died in August 1855.
Social Security Death record showed 1890 as year of birth. California death record showed 1889. I suspect California is correct since it also had more accurate date of death information.
Dottie was Dora's Daughter before her marriage to Elezer based on comments in his will.
Last name is a bit of a guess based on death cert of younger Charles. I think it is a pretty good guess though based on what I see.
This entry is a bit of a guess but I think it is a pretty good guess based on the dates and locals and correlating that with the description in Elezer's will.
I saw another record on the web that showed DOB as May. ( I will send mail and see what their source is.)
THE BRADFORD-BURWELL LINEThe Bradford-Burwell line of Virginia Tazewells began
with the marriage of Admiral William Turnbull Burwell and
Mary Fisher Bradford. The latter was a daughter of Edmund
Bradford (1816-1889) and Anne Elizabeth Tazewell Bradford
(1817-1898), who was a daughter of Governor Littleton Waller
Tazewell. The surname of the Virginia Tazewells would be
Bradford except that Littleton Waller Tazewell Bradford
(1848-1918), son of Edmund Bradford and Anne Elizabeth
Tazewell Bradford, dropped the Bradford from his name when
he was young. He did this as there were no surviving male
Virginia Tazewells to carry on the name. The five other
children of Anne Elizabeth Tazewell Bradford kept their
Bradford surnames - the ladies, of course, until they
married.WHO WAS WHO IN AMERICA lists Admiral Burwell as follows:
