Here are some interesting links that don't fit anywhere else:
Rajen's List
A list of model ship kit reviews. Yes, I'm a major contributor. You may know that
I like to build models of 20th century warships, so Rajen Datta and I created
this list to help others learn what's inside the box before buying.
SMML The Ship Model Mailing List. Another
great site for ship modelers. Send Shane an e-mail, and ask to be added to the
list, and you'll get an e-mail each day with a list of comments, tips, quips,
reviews, questions, answers, etc. Tell Shane that I sent you, and he'll charge
you double. (seriously, SMML is FREE!)
Battleship New Jersey Historical Museum
Society. Founded in 1975, (almost 25 years before there was a Home Port
Alliance, and five years before the Commission), the Society had been working to
save the battleship New Jersey for over a quarter century only to have the ship
ripped away and sent to Camden at the last moment. Ah, politics.
rec.humor.funny Before the Web existed,
there was Usenet. Rec.humor.funny is the source for many good old net jokes.
The newsgroup rec.humor.funny is still active, but most people find it easier
to use the web link above. This site has a superb collection of Microsoft/Bill
Gates jokes in its archives.
The Internet Oracle
The Oracle is a great source of internet wisdom. Ask a question, and you'll
get an answer. Just don't ask the dreaded Woodchuck question.
Read the current oracularities to get a feel for the right kinds of questions
before asking a question of your own. The Oracle is another Usenet creation,
(in fact, he used to be known as The Usenet Oracle) still accessible via Usenet,
but once again, most people prefer the web link.
The Arcadian Chorale I sing
bass with the Arcadian Chorale. Sadly, this site is still best viewed with
(*BLECH*) Internet Explorer.
The Franklin Band
I play the trombone with the Franklin Band. They've been playing since 1870!
The United States National Official
Monster Raving Loony Party Those who know me know that I am a Loony, but I
was so disgusted by the election of 2000, that I decided to make it official,
and so I joined the Loony Party. They are a spinoff of the more established
British Official Monster Raving Loony Party. If you're sick of politics as usual,
join the Loonys. I haven't gotten them to support my campaign for Emperor yet,
but I'm working on it.
