Toni L. Head
Benton, Illinois

Toni L. Head and her husband Jim live in a rural area near Benton, Il.  Toni enjoys meeting people, writing, constructing stage scenery for children's church plays, her Siamese cat Gi Gi, her two Australian Shepherd dogs Jill Ann and Smokey Joe, her grandchildren, the Christmas holiday, setting up Dept. 56 villages, and helping her husband with their purebred Angus cattle operation.  Her philosophy on life is to live each day as if it were her last, yet plan as if she is going to live forever.  Her personality reflects her grateful attitude toward God as she is so thankful He saw fit to bestow His amazing grace on her and give her the precious gift of eternal life.  She loves the way God shows his love for her through family and friends.  She has a wonderful sense of humor and when she walks into a room her very presence is like a ray of sunshine. You will experience sheer delight as you journey with her to a place your heart longs for.  She paints a wholesome story that reaches down into your soul and captures the innocence and simplicity of childhood. Her faith building stories will captivate you as she gently pulls you into the small town of Whitton in the early 1950's and invites you to share in the everyday simple stories of Slatter Slopey.

Toni's mother died when she was six years old. She had to learn to adjust to living with her elderly grandparents and other major changes. She struggled for answers to spiritual questions leading her to accept Christ at the age of seven. She felt inspired by God to write her books. While they are fictional, they are filled with stories from her own childhood. She wrote these books to show the young and the young at heart that God uses his miraculous powers to accomplish his purposes.

Do not neglect to show hospitality
to strangers,
for by this some have
entertained angels without knowing it.
