Slatter SlopeyãIII:
The Angel's
Third Visit
(The Vision)
will be out in the
near future.

Slatter Slopey: The Angel's First Visitã
Toni L. Head tells a heartwarming, christian fiction story of how God directed a guardian angel to come to earth and enter a young girls life to show her there is a reason to go on. Slatter Slopey traverses the rural farms in the early 1950's to the town of Whitton. Slatter is a six year old girl who has lost faith in God and Life. Her mother dies, and her father leaves her in the care of her elderly grandparents who live in an old farmhouse nestled behind a grove of pines. Her grandfather, J.E. Slopey runs the only grocery store in town and her Granny B. takes care of things around the farm. Despite the love she receives from her grandparents, Slatter struggles with unanswered spiritual questions about life. She lacks the age and experience to understand the complexities of her situation. Slatter needs a little piece of heaven to hold on to and a reason to dream again. In order to restore her faith, God sends Agape, a guardian angel, as a heavenly ambassador to earth. His job is to perform certain miracles bridging the gap between heaven and earth, giving the young girl a cause to believe in.

A quote from Slatter Slopey II: A Diamond in the Rough

(The Angel's Second Visit)ã

“Say,” spoke grandpa in a soft, tender voice.

“If ya girls think youns can keep a special secret, I know a good one.

Would youns like to know what it is?”

With big eyes, they looked at one another and at the same time yelled, “Yes!”

They put their hands over their mouths to muffle their giggles.

Grandpa tenderly put one arm around each of them and pulled them close to his chest. The girls could feel his end of the day whiskers tickle their cheeks. He eloquently whispered,

“The wind of heaven is that which blows between the breaths of

childrens' secrets.”

Do not neglect to show hospitality
to strangers,
for by this some have
entertained angels without knowing it.
-Hebrews 13:2
