Bike & Hike Trail
One of the oldest rail trails in the country, the Bike and Hike Trail begins in the Cleveland Metroparks near Bedford. It then travels through Summit County until just south of SR-303 the trail splits into two parts, one branch continuing south, the other going to the southeast. The south branch becomes quite hilly and eventually turns into country roads. My favorite part is the section north of SR-303 where the trail runs parallel to the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Midway on the trail along Brandywine Road is the location of Brandywine Falls, which can be a spectacular site after a few days of heavy rain (see photos page).
