These
are various mods I have come up with
over the years for classic video game
consoles.

The
circuit has been assembled into an
enclosure. It is powered from the
5200 console and has two jacks to plug
in one regular controller and one 5200
controller. The DB-9 jack accepts
an Atari 7800 joystick or a Colecovision
controller. For games that only
require one fire button, a regular 2600
joystick can be used. Games that
require true analog movement (like
Missle Command and Super Breakout) will
not work with the digital adapter.

original version
I have updated the
digital controller adapter to fix
problems with some games.

I
developed a controller adapter that can
use a PC joystick, either analog or
not. With an analog type, all
games are supported. With a
non-analog type, it works as well as the
digital controller adapter. I
found that the 5200 keypads get worn out
as well, so I added a keypad on the case
of one controller.

Here is
an A/V mod for an Atari 7800. This plugs
right into the expansion port of the
7800 console on those that have one.

I like to add A/V
outputs to my classic gaming
systems. The outputs of the
ColecoVision's TMS9928 video chip are Y,
R-Y, B-Y format. Because of this,
it was easier to add component output
than a simpler type like composite, or
S-video.

This is an addon
for the Coleco that turns it into a
computer that is compatible with the
Timex/Sinclair BASIC language.
