Hancock Lake Association Meeting	November 5, 2005, 9 a.m. Woodboro Town Hall
At the November 5^th, 2005 meeting, it was announced that the incorporation papers filed by Mark Wendorff on behalf of the association were accepted and put on file with the State of Wisconsin! We are now officially Hancock Lake Association, Inc.! The next issue that was discussed was the proposed by-laws. After some clarifications and questions about the proposed dues from the people in attendance, it was decided to send the proposed by-laws out to the lake group by mail. The enclosed bylaws were a major re-write to better address problems surrounding giving the best fit "voice" for the wide diversity of people on the lake. The main focus was that the president originally had too much authority and no accountability ...especially with respect to committees. This problem was hopefully fixed by distributing the power to the board and putting in means for recall by the association membership for any board member and committee members. The by-law committee members are Lou Mezei, Bill Tischendorf, Dolly Meeuwsen, Mark Wendorff, Steve Weston, Ron Stegeman, Janie Losch, Mike Powers and Sherry Fechter. Hours and hours of work went into amending the proposed by-laws and that work is much appreciated! Anyone that wishes to join Hancock Lake Association, Inc. will be eligible to cast a vote for or against the acceptance of the enclosed by-laws in January ‘06. We’re asking anyone that would like to join Hancock Lake Association, Inc., to complete the membership form and mail the form back along with your payment to the address that’s on that membership form. The next item that was discussed was the appointment of interim board members. These people will serve as the interim board until the second Saturday in June, 2006 when a new board will be elected by the association members. This interim board will serve only to welcome new members and count by-law ballots from the membership. We’re pleased to present Dick Statton as interim President, Bill Tischendorf as interim Vice-President, Gene Klawikowski as interim Secretary, Mike Powers as interim Treasurer and Lou Mezei, Pat Thostenson, and George Beltz as interim at large directors. The interim board will meet on January 14^th, 2006 to count the new members, set the next meeting date and notify all of the members of that next meeting.
