Jon (20) is taking a year off of college joining the Amercorps program. He is working for the American Red Cross in Ravenna, Ohio. Brian (14), soon to be 15, will be a freshman at Brownsburg High School. Will I survive high school one more time??? I also have a step-daughter, Erika Scheck (28), who is married (Jeff) with two children. Alyssa is 17-months old and her brother, John, is 5-months old making them, yes! one year apart. Erika substitute teaches – I babysit – they save money – I play with the grandkids! We also have a new puppy named Ellie Mae, a Lab/Retriever mix.

Career Information: After 29 years with Franklin Electric, they decided to unload the fractional horsepower division of the company, so now I work for Bluffton Motor Works. I started as a production worker and in 1998 became a production supervisor. I am now in training to replace the retiring Production Scheduler. The biggest bonus of that job………….air conditioning. (Is that a sign that I am getting old?)

Personal Information: Never married and no kids but after almost 30 years on second shift, I will be becoming a “normal” person with a first shift job so that I can attend my two nephews’ after school activities.

Other Information: Linda is a stay-at-home mom (since we’ve been married) and has also been home-schooling our kids for 13 years now. A year ago last May we all went to San Diego to see Grant graduate from Marine Boot Camp and guess who else came to watch? - Smitty (Mike Smith). He ended up being our tour guide. Had a great time. I finally retired from hockey last year. Thirty-six years of stopping frozen hockey pucks started taking a toll on de ole’ bod. Lots of good memories of those, - all those games. Met and played with a lot of old I.H.L. players. Eddie Long, Bruce McKay, and Steve Fletcher to name a few. Played several years with the Old Guys Hockey Club (40 years and older). Currently I have an application in the U.S. Patent Office for a design patent for a redesigned goalie mask – nothing like goalies of today wear. Talk about learning patience! A nice article appeared in the News Sentinel, March 15, 2005, about Eddie Long – Long-evity. Anyhow, a nice picture (8 x 10) of Eddie, Don Detter, Jim Hunnicut and me were on the front page of the sports section – stupid me had my mask on so you can’t tell it’s me anyhow. Oh well, so much for that. See you all in August!

Personal Information: I got married in December of 2004 (for the first time). We have a 16-month old daughter (Cherry) and hope to have 1 or 2 more. (Better late than never for me!) My wife’s name is Cherry May and she is from the Philippines.

Other Information: I wish you all nothing but the best. I am sure teaching in a high school this fall, I will think back on my time at Norwell. I really wish I could do it all over again at high school, I would change many things. (“The Way We Were” was a good pick for a class song for us.) I really wanted to attend. August 4^th is my 48^th birthday! I will be preparing to teach at this time and I have a seminar to attend that day.
