Interment and graveside funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 24, at Santa Paula Cemetery, with the Rev. John Cherrie officiating.Arrangements are under the care of the family-owned Skillin-Carroll Mortuary.

Mildred Elizabeth Harrington Holmes Newman passed away on Oct. 31, 2009 in Ventura.
She was born in Santa Paula, on July 27 1919 to Walter and Elizabeth Harrington. She is one of seven children, raised in Santa Paula. She worked as a teller at Bank of A. Levy in Ventura and Moorpark for many years.
She and her husband Ray Newman, enjoyed many camping trips with their RV club, the Rockers. She spent time cross-stitching, sewing and wine-tasting.
Mildred is survived by Ray, sister Dorothy Donaldson, brother Merrill Harrington, sons David (Michele) and Danny (Sharlene) Holmes, daughter Mimi Holmes (Linda), grandsons Mike (Colette) , Steve (Alicia) and Tim (Aimee) Holmes, and great-grandson Danny. She is preceded in death by her sister Helen Gallio, brothers, Everett, Melvin, and Harold Harrington, and her first husband of 32 years Paul Holmes.
The family would like to thank the staff of Treacy Villa for the loving care they gave to Mildred.
