Dear Chuck,

I recently found your website for the Harrington Family Genealogical Gazetteer and was in hopes that I would find my family listed.  Like in so many references, I find that you show my great great great grandparents Benjamin Harrington (son of Josiah Harrington Jr.) and Lydia Sweet but then nothing else of my line. The information that is shown for Benjamin and Lydia and their children is only partially correct.

I have an old family tree that was made about 1900 by my great grandfather William W. Harrington, grandson of Benjamin and Lydia Sweet Harrington. The tree is very detailed showing parents, children, spouses, and locations of death for many of the people in my line.  I have researched much of the info shown in the tree over many years and find that the tree is very accurate in its content.

This tree shows that Benjamin (son of Josiah of Providence) and Lydia (Sweet) had four sons and five daughters- Angel (my line), Josiah, Benjamin, Clark, Margaret, Lydia, Mercy, Polly, and Sarah. Of the children you have listed in your information for Benjamin and Lydia you show a Daniel, Hannah, and Ezekiel.  These three do not appear on my tree at all.  And your info doesn't show five of the children I have on my tree.  All of the children shown in your information are born in North Kingstown, Washington Co., Rhode Island.  Benjamin and Lydia were in Foster, Providence Co., RI in 1790 with three of their children born already.  In 1800 they are shown in Cumberland, Providence Co.  The family moved to Vermont and then to Otsego Co., NY by 1810. I believe that the information shown on your website in not correct and these children belong to someone else. They are not the children of Benjamin and Lydia Sweet Harrington.

I also notice that aside from showing Benjamin's marriage to Lydia Sweet you don't have any information about their descendants.  I have traced many of these lines as my family moved west and would be willing to share this information.

How can I make a correction to the information you show and how can I get my additional information added to your website?
