I found your posting on the Harrington Manuscript while looking into the family of Horace Tower.  He was the son of David Tower and Fanny Spring.  My interest comes through the mother of David Tower, Mary/Polly Macoy/McCoy, sister of my ancestor Rebecca Macoy.  I would suggest making a notation that the Clarendon, VT cemetery where some of the Harringtons were buried should be spelled Chippenhook.  It appears Silence was buried there under her maiden name, though from the 1880 census she apparently married second a Bromley.  Her second husband was apparenly Hiland F Bromley, son of Hiram Bromley and Eliza Paddock.  Horace Tower may have filed some paperwork for a civil war pension in 1889, I need to look further into that.  Whether Silence was divorced or widowed when she married Hiland Bromley is unclear.  It does appear by 1880 she was divorced from her second husband and and he was remarried to a Thankful, which could explain why she was buried under her maiden name.
