The Park - Dream

I had a dream several years back, that has never left me in my thoughts.  I do receive the interpretations of my dreams so this is more to share with you.

I was in a very busy park, and stood as an observer.  Watching the activities take place.  There were park benches, picnic tables, a lake, a playground, sidewalks that went around the entire park.   It had lots of trees and many were walking thier dogs or skateboarding and rollerskating.
Children were sailing boats in the lake, and there was a few who were in canoes as well.   Grandmothers were sitting knitting on some of the benches, while watching thier grandchildren, mothers gathered together with strollers, families ate lunch at the picnic tables with a barbecue right beside the table.
It was quite active.  So active, I almost didnt notice that there were two newlyweds, sitting on one of the benches.  They were gazing into each others eyes with so much love.  They did seem to be talking some, and as I focused in more, I could see they were communing with their eyes more than their mouths.  They were holding hands, too.
But off to the side of the bench, there were some bushes.  There was a stranger in the bush staring at this couple.  All he seemed to want to do was watch.  And in my dream I knew that all he wanted to do was get the woman to glance at him.  To take her eyes off, for one moment, her husband, and to look at him.  He waited patiently.  It seemed like hours that he just stared at her.  Waiting for that moment that she would look at him.

And then I woke up.   The dream was powerful to me, as in some of my dreams are.  I asked the Lord to interpret this dream for me.

The park represents the world.  The activities represent our busyness.  We are preoccupied with life, with pleasure, even family.  We are preoccupied with feeling good, we are preoccupied with so many things that we don't even notice there is a couple who are in love, and there is a stranger watching.  We are so preoccupied with activity, that we cannot see past our own lives.

The couple represent Christ and the Church.  The Bride and the Groom.  His love for her shows that she is all He sees.  All He wants to tell her.  And her glow is because of the love that He shows her.  Their eyes are locked on each other.

The stranger in the bush is Satan.  All he wants is one glimpse away from the Groom.  This is the beginning.  Just one glimpse will cause slight unrest, but he doesnt plan on stopping there.  In the beginning it would seem harmless to glimpse just once.  But the idea is to distract and get her eyes off the love that is given her.

He would be satisfied , however, if she took her eyes away from her groom, to gaze for awhile at the activities in the park.

The dream is two-fold.  To the casual observer, it would appear that all is beautiful and that everything goes on well as long as people are happy and enjoying life.  What do they need Jesus for?  People are happy, life is wonderful.

To the Church, this is a message that we are to keep our focus at all times on Christ because we have an enemy that wants at first, just a casual glimpse away.

The purpose for me to have this dream was to observe the things God sees and to bring a word of truth.  The Lord has called me to be a watchman.  Most of the time I observe what is happening around me.  And sometimes, the Lord tells me to focus in and speak out.
