Richard was driving a vehicle, a Toyota, to a new
community - in the dream he knows why he is driving but in his waking he doesnt know if it was to get to a job or to live
in a new community.
To get to the place he was going, he had to drive up a very steeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep,
but straight road. It was a difficult climb and he was only able to make it part way up the hill but the
car just would not go.
The road was light gray as in a new road, not old black road.
Then, he remembered,
"Oh wait! I dont drive a Toyota, I drive a GMC Jimmy" so in the dream he got into his Jimmy and was able
to make it the rest of the way up.
At the top of the hill he could see there was a very sharp, hairpin turn, that climbs
a bit higher up, but he is not able to get to it because the way is blocked by crowds of people waiting to get in line to
a movie theater. To the right, is the Television personality, Chuck Woolery, seemingly selling
tickets (although nobody was actually getting their tickets from him) to the movie, while at the same time guarding
this old storage shed of a building. He seemed to have some kind of connection to what was going on in the building,
yet there was nothing phyisically aparent by what he was doing that gave evidence of that.
Richard
got out of his car but had no interest in going into the theater, however he was unable to go anywhere else because
the crowds were blocking the way up. His sights now turned to Chuck Woolery, to find out what
his thoughts are and why Richard hadn't seen him around lately.
End of Dream.
This is both a personal dream,
yet also a word to the Body of Christ. My interpretation is that the road he is on represents our journey. We have
been called to a new community of people and a new function in the Kingdom of God. WE ARE ALREADY CALLED
THERE, but the road is the journey we take.
Richard realized that the methods he was
using to get himself to where he needed to be and was called to be are not what the Lord has given him.
They are foreign (as represented by the Toyota), not what he is supposed to be driving and that is why he couldn't
climb the hill. When he realized he needed to get into what he has already been given by the Lord,
he got in and drove up the hill.
The road being gray, not black, represented a new road.
He gets to the top and sees the line
of people. I told him that I felt this is the Body of CHrist because they also climbed to the top.
However at the top , just before the hairpin turn, a revival is breaking out. There is really something to see.
Chuck Woolery, the TELL A VISION personality represents a false prophet or shepherd (or maybe misguided)
as he is guarding the storehouse and possibly selling tickets or representing himself as being behind the scenes (yet that
he stands out in front, and not really behind the scenes, makes me think he is more like someone who just wants to be noticed
for being involved, like he has something to do with this, but does not.)
Because Richards dream ends here, right
at the place of decision, I felt to tell him that it represents our choice of being fascinated by what these
folks have to say, (or write about) or our choice to walk into the movie theater to see what's playing, or
wait til the crowds dwindle in order to go past, making a SHARP RIGHT TURN in the OPPOSITE DIRECTION and still climbing higher.
After the dream ends, how many will make the sharp right hairpin turn, in
the opposite direction, going higher still?
How many will camp out at the theater and chat about the movie amongst themselves?
How many will stand around and discuss the events with the commentators?
And how many were actually satisfied and will now go back down the hill to their old life?
