Rob's Progress Report 4-08-08

I hope I am not weighing you down and wearing you out keeping people updated on my son.  For the ones of you that does not have a burden, just hit delete if you can't handle this.

This morning I got a scripture in Isaiah 30 I believe, about the smiting and God coming down to the tune of the lyre and tambourine and smiting the enemy.  I got the tambourine and played it and worshiped and did warfare for almost 2 hours.  Madeline and I not only did it for Rob, but we prayed for lot of people at our church and community in need and many things.

When I was finished, I felt like I was a rock inside.  All shaking and wavering inside gone.  I got in the car went to the hospital and on the way I called my nurse friend Maggie and we talked.  She helped me to see that the poisons in Rob's feet were making it harder for the other things to get well.  I walked straight into the hospital called the doctors and told them to start the proceedure for removing both his feet. I could not believe how strong I was.  I know God has been answering all your prayers for me.  It was awesome.  I called his Dad and talked with his best friend Jim and well all decided it was time.  God could put the feet back on later.  These feet were so bad it would be just as easy to put on new feet anyway.

They tried feeding him in his stomach last night and it doesn't seem to be digesting.  There are no bowel sounds.  We can not live without our digestive system.  He is heavily sedated because he is so uncomfortable and aggitated.  They are planning on incerting a feeding tube for his stomach and a trach for his breathing.  It will get the uncomfortable and dangerous things out of his nose and mouth.  That causes lots of infections and other complications.  He will be so much more comfortable.  He pulled the breathing tube out yesterday and they had to put it back, he couldn't breath on his own.  He is on dialasys for his kidneys also.

I am sharing all of this because I want you to know his condition and how to pray.  He is alive because of a miracle and I believe God has told several people he was going to live.  Thanks so much for your prayers.  Pray for us, I have word that my daughters father is bring up my daughter and her two young children 5 and 2 years old from Florida. I don't feel like I can take another ounce of stress.  It will probably be another storm to start brewing because I told him, I don't think she should stay here because I am too stressed. I love her dearly and would love to see her but I am hardly able to take care of myself and the house now and work.  All our extra time is trying to recoop, visit Rob or work.

Again I want to thank you for your prayers.
