2 Co 5:17-18 Therefore,
if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
But all things are from God, Who through Jesus Christ reconciled us to Himself [received us into favor, brought us
into harmony with Himself] and gave to us the ministry of reconciliation [that by word and deed we might aim to bring others
into harmony with Him].
I was struck by the phrase here "all things are from God". If we are in the ministry
of reconciliation, which the Word clearly says we have been given, this means that in Christ, we see all things as from God
in order that we might be brought back into harmony with God, the Father. Jesus Christ IS our reconciliation.
There is a lot in this "all things". There is a lot of freedom for those who have been looking
for Him in all things, and there is a lot of offense, for those who have not. There is skepticism
for those who have been wounded, and there may be outrage for those who gave most of thier lives to a particular religion
or doctrine.
But this is clear. All things.
"Behold, I make ALL things new" ALL THINGS.
Is sickness from God?
No, because it is a former thing. It is a former order of things. We are no longer under the
law of sin and death but under the Spirit of Life. It is an old thing.
We need to see that which is former, and what is the new, and choose to walk in the new.
Walking in the former is not life.
So, if we've been given it, why don't we have it?
Well, I'd say we need to unwrap the gift. It doesnt do us any good to sit on our
table and admire the wrapping and bow.
Thank You Lord for giving us the ministry of reconciliation back to You in that ALL THINGS are from You.
ALL THINGS are made new and from You. Cause me to walk in a deeper revelation of the new in ALL THINGS.
I ask You for ALL THINGS in my life reconciled back to You and thank You that it has been done! For ALL
Your promises are Yes and Amen.
Rev 21: 1 Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven
and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea. 2 Then I, John, saw
the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with
men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. 4 And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow,
nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”
5
Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” And He said to
me, “Write, for these words are true and faithful.”
6 And He said
to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give
of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts. 7 He who overcomes
shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son.
