Little Weed appearing so tender and frail Who are they that said
you would fail? Growing and pushing your way through the rock While the flowers in their gardens mock
Little
Weed on a path all your own The manicured garden has left you alone Forgetting that under one Son you both
grow And the Son will let neither head bow down low
Picked up; pulled out; killed many a time Unrestrained passions;
your only crime You live your life in a carefree way Yet long to play as the Rose's play
Oh, Little Weed when
will you learn Your strength and endurance exceeds that of the fern The roses, the daisies, marigolds too, For now
only the Son loves this about you
Fear not, Little Weed, for the time will come When your virtues are noticed by
more than some "Rebellion!" is now cried by those who mock But someday they'll say "She pushed through the rock!"
