Rob is Scheduled for Surgery Tomorrow
Last night when I visited Rob, he had been moved to the step down unit. They had him up in a chair
for and hour and half. He is much stronger and they put a plug in the trachea and he is able to talk. The first
thing he said to me was that the support on his leg was too tight. It was wonderful to be able to talk to him.
He is very weak and confused but doing much better.
Just got a call from the surgeon.
They did every thing they could do to save his leg but they say it is not working and it needs to come off. His white
cell count went down to 14,000 from 19,900 yesterday. I thought that was a good sign.
The doctor says it will flucuate. His heel is completely destroyed and he would need a good heel to walk on.
Would you please pray that if I am making a mistake to OK this surgery, that Jesus would
let me know. Please, I don't want to know what you think. I don't mean to be ugly, but if I listened to everyone, I
would have 10 different opinions all different and I would be on the psychiatric ward in the same hospital.
Pray that the surgery will be swift, and easy and Rob will not suffer the pain he did
from the last surgery. His left leg is doing great.
They ask to take them both off the first
time and I kept holding on and believing and praying and so now I feel it is my fault he is going to have to go through this
pain again.
Thanks so much for your prayers. We really could use
them. The surgery is scheduled for 7:00a.m. in the morning. Friday.
When
I was listening to the Lord a couple of days ago in my morning prayer time, he said, "I am going to do something you did not
think about in this." Only God knows what he is going to do but everything he does is marvelous in our eyes!!
We praise and thank you God for all you have done and are going to do in
this situation!!
God bless
