Update on Rob and Madeleine 5-21

At this time, my Dad decided to not allow Rob to come here.  Rob is much better and able to get from the wheel chair to the bed alone and do most things by himself, but Dad thinks the house is not big enough for all that is here now, another person and a wheel chair.

The doctors had a meeting with the family yesterday.  Every doctor was very pleased with his progress.  No more rambling talking , off most meds, able to do things alone.  Yesterday, we were there and he was very nauseous.  He was miserable.  They took his trach out yesterday afternoon and he has been fine since.  His gag reflex was making him sick.  He just continues to do wonderful. He can now power his wheel chair and go where he wants.

When we talked with him about going to a nursing home,  he said, " That is OK,  I like older people"  And he does. He is precious. So, Madeline and I went to look at nursing homes for him to recoup in, yesterday.  The doctor said around 3 months and he should be completely independant with his legs and walking, so we are looking at a short stay at the hospital.

I would appreciate prayer for Madeline.  She has not been feeling well.  I think she works too hard and takes too much on herself at work. Sometimes she works around 10 hours and only charges for 7.  She does her work as unto the Lord because she is only allowed so many hours and sometimes people need her so she goes the extra mile.  Her blood pressure and pulse are up.  She is overly tired.  I keep asking her to take a day off and she says the way her job is, she can't just call in sick.  I am praying about going away for the weekend.  The gas prices are so high but we could just get away somewhere close maybe.

I appreciate all your concern and prayers. God Bless
