Faithful And True (Rev 19:11)

By darlene rose

June 1996

I saw heaven burst wide open a white horse to reveal

He who sat upon it once came with an appeal

But now His eyes were flames of fire He wore crowns on His head

And as He gazed upon me, this is what He said

My name is Faithful

Faithful and True

Well He came to judge in righteousness with power to war

And from His mouth I saw emerge a two-edged sword

He was called the word of God and a name no other knew

But He said you can call me Faithful ‘cause I’m faithful and true

His name is Faithful

Faithful and True

Now all the armies that had followed wore linen white and clean

But His robe was dipped in blood it was a sight to be seen

These were His royal army who once were lost

And gave up all they had to meet Him at the cross

He’s come to strike the nations with an iron rod

He’ll tread the wrath and fierceness of the Almighty God

And on that final day when He draws His battle sword

All the world will know that He’s the king of kings and Lord of Lords

They’ll know He’s Faithful

Faithful and True
