The Evolution Samba

Think Reggae!

By Richard M. Rose

March, 1998

One reason the world seems to get much worse

Is a vast distorted picture of the universe.

They teach it as the truth in the schools, but ay caramba!

Listen to the song called “the evolution samba.”

For evolution not much evidence,

Defies the laws of science and of common sense.

They call it “science” but it’s a fraud.

They won’t believe the world was created by God.

(chorus)

Say it out loud, and say it again . . .

C-R-E-A-T-I-O-N

You can breed a dog as many times as you wish,

But you’ll still get a dog, not a zebra or fish.

They irradiated fruit flies many thousand generations

All they got was fruit fly mutations.

Oh horror! Oh shock! Oh me oh my!

Some couldn’t walk, some couldn’t fly.

Wings were twisted and legs were lame

But all of them were fruit flies just the same.

(chorus)

Say it out loud, and say it again . . .

C-R-E-A-T-I-O-N

They say ontogeny recapitulates

Phylogeny, this indicates

That the human embryo follows the path of evolution

This a lie become an institution

Ontogeny don’t recapitulate;

The embryo is human from it’s earliest date

Those ain’t no gill slits, they’re folds of skin.

Open the gates and let the truth shine in.

(chorus)

Say it out loud, and say it again . . .

C-R-E-A-T-I-O-N

If a man should say the tailbone’s vestigial

This is a joke, though not very original, but

If that man should continue to scoff

Say “ I’ll happily pay to have yours cut off.”

That man will find the tailbone is needed

Every time that he is seated

And the pelvic muscles that were affected

That man will wish his tailbone could be reconnected.

(chorus)

Say it out loud, and say it again . . .
