May God Arise

By Richard M. Rose

2002

May God arise, may his enemies be scattered

May his foes flee in fear from his gaze

But may the righteous be glad

And rejoice in our Lord

Both fervent and joyful in praise

Sing out to God

Give the glory to His holy name,

See His majesty ride on the wind.

He is our Lord everlasting, ever knowing

In love let’s rejoice before Him

In Him the orphan has a father

The widow has a friend

The homeless find shelter and rest.

The desert will bloom

As His holy raindrops fall

And the humble are nourished and blessed

(repeat first verse)
