Shelter of Your Love

Sept. 15,2005

I could build a better mousetrap

I could swim against the tide

I could climb a higher mountain

I could cross the waters wide

I could fly through space to Neptune

I could win the Tour de France

Without Your love, I am nothing

I could write the world’s best novel

I could win the Nobel prize

I could rule the heads of nations

Expose evil deeds and lies

I could find a cure for cancer

I could win the desert war

Without Your love, I am nothing

(chorus)

Without Your love my words would only vanish in thin air

Without Your love, my fondest hopes w0uld crumble in despair.

Lord for all that I can do

I am empty without you

Let me rest within the shelter of your love.

I could speak with tongues of angels

Or speak mighty prophecies

With my faith I could move mountains

Or resolve deep mysteries

I could sell all my possessions

Give the money to the poor

Without Your love I am nothing

(chorus)

Without your love my words would only vanish in thin air

Without your love my fondest hopes would crumble in despair

Jesus draw me close to you

And there’s nothing I won’t do

To take comfort in the shelter of Your love

To take comfort in the shelter of Your love
