The Mall of God's Word - Vision
Feb 2007 - vision
I was walking in a mall. Somehow I was just an observer of the people, but I didn't come to buy
anything.
I looked in each shop. It was an ordinary mall. I looked in the shop window of one store to
see a lady at the Clearance Table, scooping up all the bargains.
I looked in another to see two people holding up items, examining them, and deciding they didnt want
it, smurked a bit, and then put the items down, and left.
In another store, I looked in to see a salesperson trying hard to sell to one person and not
being able to, he went to another.
Some were just there to window shop. Some had bags and bags of items.
It looked like an ordinary mall. But this mall was not ordinary as I was soon to see.
As I walked along, I came to the Center. There were welcome banners and balloons. Colorful balloons,
with train rides for the children. And then I looked up.
There was a very colorful banner with the Mall's Name.
It said "Welcome to the Mall of God's Word"

This vision has caused me to very seriously examine how I steward the Word I receive. How do
I treat it? Do I treat it with value? Or do I treat it with contempt?
Is His word common? Or is it holy?
Is His word a dime a dozen? Or is it the Pearl of Great Price?
Do I receive with Joy? Or move onto the next shop if I don't like what I saw?
How about you?
