How long have you been in business?

I have been a professional photographer for over fifteen years and have been in the photography field for more than twenty.

What type of equipment do you use?

Chanin Studio was one of the Rochester areas first all digital studios. We are currently using the latest Kodak and Nikon Professional digital equipment and software. All equipment is state of the art professional quality for the highest quality results.

Why is your studio all digital?

Current digital technology is equal or better than film in terms of image quality and prints made from digital files look, feel and last just like those from film. Digital also has many extra advantages. You can view your photos on our website, e-mail them across the country or around the world, and get your images on CD or DVD to view on your computer or television. Digital also has the added benefit of lower cost, allowing us to take more photos at less cost to you.

What's your "Style" ?

Although I consider myself mainly a traditional portrait photographer, I do like to work in a combination of styles. Generally for portraits, I will do a variety of both posed and unposed, color and black and white photographs. I work hard to produce a portrait that is artistic and reflects the subjects personality. My style is laid back and contemporary. I will never ask you to "say cheese".

Do you have an assistant?

Yes, but not always. On location, I do sometimes like to bring an assistant to help me carry equipment and set up. Either way I always do all the photography.

What is your fee ?

My fee varies greatly depending on the assignment and location. It generally consists of a fee for my time and any prints or services that are ordered. Click here to request a quote.

Do you keep the proofs?

Proofs are now displayed digitally via our website. They can be viewed on any computer with an internet connection or put on DVD for televison viewing .

Do you keep the negatives?

Photographs shot digitally have no negatives. High resolution files are property of the studio and kept on file for any future re-orders. Our print prices are extremely reasonable and images are always cropped and retouched to insure best quality.

Do you have back up equipment?

Yes. Although all our equipment is state of the art, professional equipment and is well maintained, malfunctions are not impossible. That's why we bring two or more of every piece of critical equipment.
