People age in the matrix as well. If Joe is 40
years old and Ben is 13, how many years ago was Joe four times as old as Ben?

Time to play a little hide and seek. Let's say we have three boxes. One of them
contains two red marbles, another two yellow marbles and the last one one red
marble and one yellow marble. The boxes of course are labeled with what they
contain (RR, YY and RY). Something modified the program however and the labels
got mixed up. You are allowed to sample marbles one at a time from any box but
you can not look inside. If by this process you are supposed to determine
contents of all boxes, what is the smallest number of drawings you need? 1
(Clarification: The boxes are necessarily mislabeled. To find out the
correct labelings, pick from the box labeled RY. If the marble drawn is R, then
the box is RR (since it can't be YY or RY), else it is YY. The rest follows.
We should've figured out there was a problem, that something was wrong when they
first beat us. When our champion fell to the proud Deep Blue it was almost...
hmm... how many centuries ago? 2 (The year is 2199)
Another age problem... Mary is 16 years younger than Bob. If in 10 years Bob
will be twice Mary's age, how old is Mary now? 6
Aah.. A very curious numerical series. I know it has to do with time somehow but
that's all I got. What comes next? : 7 8 5 5 3 4 4 6 9 7 8 ? 8 (These
are the lengths of the months January, February ...)
As we all know there is still money in the matrix and no matter how fake it is
people care a lot about it. So here is a little problem for you: After a man
died he left $10,000,000 for his widow, his 5 sons and his 4 daughters. Each
daughter was to receive an equal amount, each son to receive twice as much as
one of the daughters, and the widow received three times as much as any son. How
many millions did the widow receive? 3
The apocalypse? The horsemen? Exactly how many horsemen are we talking about?

Not surprisingly probabilities were bound to creep up on us. This is a computer
program after all... If I have five letters and five addressed envelopes, and I
place the letters into envelopes at random, what is the probability that only
four envelopes have the right letters ? (twice!) 0 0
Onto cards we go... If I have a hand of cards consisting of one Queen, two
Diamonds, four Spades and three Aces, how many cards do I have minimum? 7
