After finishing another run in the Scarlet Monastery with my compatriots Tristessa, Onoko of Old School, and Lazik of TUFF, we returned
to Undercity to unload our unusually low amount of loot. After selling our items and repairing our gear, we were
deciding which dungeon to raid next. While standing by the Bat Handler, Maximo of Iron Jackals ran up to me and
informed me about an attack on Tarren Mill. I'm always up for a good bout of PvP, but with Tristessa there, you
can be sure there was no hesitation in our departure for Hillsbrad.
We arrived in Tarren and did a quick run around the town only to find a few measly level 20ish Alliance players.
After dispatching them, we searched more towards the tower between Tarren and South Shore. At this point, we were
relieved to find a group of 10-12 alliance with levels ranging from 30-47. Noticing Kyrtin (52 Warlock from TUFF)
hanging around town, we snatched him up into our group and rushed into battle.
With the help of a few good players from Iron Jackals (Maximo 36 Shaman, Lobo 47 Rogue, and Zarkos 44 Warrior)
and Vale (39 Mage from TUFF), we made short work of the alliance. Not to be stopped there, we pushed on towards South Shore, hoping to find
more pathetic Alliance to crush. Our initial attack killed 4 South Shore guards and about twice as many Alliance.
Being the cowards that most Alliance players are, they wouldn't even attack until we were deep into fights with
multiple guards. No matter, we killed them anyway.
It should be noted that our attack wasn't without worthwhile opposition, we were turned back eventually by continual
attacks by multiple members of Cadia, Empire, and Faetalis Foedi. Among the high profile Alliance players we killed
were Allimy (47 Paladin of Demon Hunter CN), Cloak (49 Suicidal Rogue from Empire), Zeliana (50+ Hunter from Cadia),
Mobius (47 Warrior from Knights of Arathor), and random high level Alliance such as Tipsy (42?), Teknik (42), Shadowzmama (43),
Kitia (40), and Mungtor (47?). These, and other many level 20-30ish Alliance players eventually pushed us back
to Tarren Mill where we were forced to put up a fierce defense as our fallen fighters returned to the battle.
At one point I counted 25 Alliance players ahead of me, and that was only on one side of town. We were working
with about 13-17 Horde players, and despite the difference in fighters we were able to push them back again.
Not without losses, however, myself included, many times.

As the battle turned in our favor once again, we pushed out of Tarren Mill and on to South Shore for a
counter attack. We ran into a large amount of resistance at the Tower in between Tarren and South Shore, where
many of us fell, but we were ultimately victorious here as well. It was about this time when the battles began
to take on more of a guerrilla tactic, with Rogues from both sides attacking lower level victims at the back of
the larger groups. Cloak was killed about 20 times while trying this, and he was helped by Zeliana and Allimy
who were using invisibility potions to compound the problem. Eventually we pushed into South Shore again and
killed multiple guards before being routed by the large group of Alliance, who were now at least 35 strong.

By now, most of us had been involved in this battle for over 2 hours, approaching 3. As we were pushed back
into Tarren Mill, we lost Kyrtin (who had about 25+ confirmed kills), but gained Slaytanic (58 Mage from TUFF).
Shinobi (46 Rogue from Tuff) also arrived at this time, but we were only fighting with about 14 Horde against
a group of Alliance that seemed to grow larger every quarter hour. At this point, the Alliance finally managed
to score a few guard kills, and after scoring a few more kills I called it an evening.

This was, without a doubt, the best Player versus Player event in which I have been involved. The only thing that would have made it better
would be the addition of PvP incentives from Blizzard such as the Honor system, and the capturing of enemy territory.
At this point, killing guards and raiding towns has no real effect, nor does killing another player. I hope to
see a lot of PvP content coming up soon, because leveling can only be a distraction for so long, and many
players have already reached or are nearing the level cap (by the first patch I'd like to add).
