FAITH IN ACTION VOLUNTEERS WANTED!

FIAlogo.jpg

Faith in Action of Adams County is an interfaith volunteer care giving program, bringing together volunteers from many faiths to work together to care for their neighbors who have long-term health needs.

FAAC volunteers come from churches, synagogues, mosques and other houses of worship, as well as the community at large. Volunteers help those in need by providing non-medical assistance with tasks such as:
Picking up a few groceries or running errands
Providing rides to the doctor
Friendly visiting (talking and listening)
Reading or helping to pay bills

With this volunteer assistance, members of the community who have long-term health needs can maintain their independence as long as possible.

Volunteer Opportunites

The following volunteer opportunites are available:

  • Lawn and yard work for a couple in Arkdale, WI.  Just moved into 1 acre property, and brush needs to be collected and burned. They also have some painting and other projects that they would like done.  Perfect opportunity for people who like to be outdoors in the beautiful fall weather.
  • Another great outdoor opportunity is scraping and painting a woman's house in Arkdale, WI.  She has all of the supplies - and is ready to go. Would be a fun project for a group to tackle.
