Cheeseburger Macaroni

I used to make this simple dinner during my bachelor days. It cooks up in 15 minutes, uses six ingredients or less, and dirties only one pan. It's perfect for when you need to whip up dinner in a hurry.

Variations:
For variety, try one or more of the following:

  • For a vegetarian version, substitute TVP for ground beef.

  Cheeseburger Macaroni

Ingredients:
  • 1½ lb lean ground beef
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 can (26 oz) Spaghetti Sauce
  • 1½ cups uncooked elbow macaroni
  • 1 Cup shredded Cheddar cheese
Directions:
  1. In a large skillet brown the meat and onion over a medium-high heat.
  2. Drain, Season with salt and pepper if desired.
  3. Add spaghetti sauce a 1 cup water; bring to a boil.
  4. Stir in macaroni. Cover and simmer 8 to 10 minutes or until pasta is tender.
  5. Stir in cheese. Garnish with sliced green onions if desired.
