Most of my pie recipes call for a graham cracker pie crust.
Of course you can buy one. But why? They are so easy to make.
Variations:
For variety, try one or more of the following:
- Use chocolate graham crackers.
- For something totally different, crush up Oreo® cookies, don't add butter.

Graham Cracker Crumb Crust |
Ingredients:
- 18 squares graham crackers.
- ¼ cup granulated sugar.
- ¾ stick butter or 1/3 cup margarine.
Directions:
- Crush the graham crackers finely, mix in the sugar.
- Place the butter or margarine in a glass pie pan and microwave on high until melted.
(it helps to stop and stir the butter every 30 seconds.)
- Add the crushed graham crackers and stir until well coated.
- Use a spoon to press into the bottom and side of the pie pan.
