Hearty Vegi Patties

This recipe for vegi patties is one that I came up with using the Vegi Burger construction kit that can be found elsewhere on this site. I was trying to make a patty that would have a hearty taste a color.

These can be served hot, or the cold patties can be used in sandwiches.


  Hearty Vegi Patties

Ingredients:
  • 1 Can Pintos or Kidney beans,
  • 1 Cup Rolled Oats,
  • ¼ cup Walnuts, chopped.
  • ½ Cup Tomato Juice,
  • ¼ tsp each: Onion Powder, Basil, Oregano, Chili Powder, Garlic Powder.
  • dash of salt.
Directions:
  1. Drain the liquid off the beans then mash them with a fork in a medium bowl.
  2. Mix in the remaining ingredients.
  3. Drop by the spoonful unto a Pam sprayed baking sheet and form into patties (kind of like making cookies).
  4. Bake at 325° for 35 minutes. Turn over and continue baking for another 25 minutes.
  5. Allow to cool for several minutes before serving.
