Festive Fudge

There are several ways to make fudge. This is one of the easiest. Basicly you melt chocolate chips and stir in a few more ingredients. It's pretty tough to screw up. Just make sure that you use only enough heat to melt the chips slowly.
Oh yea. The results are great.

Variations:
For variety, try one or more of the following:

  • Make half of chips mint chocolate chips.
  • Make half the chips peanut butter chips.
  • Fold in two cups of miniature marshmallows.

  Festive Fudge

Ingredients:
  • 3 Cups (two packages) semi sweet chocolate chips.
  • 1 14 ounce can Eagle Brand Sweeten Condensed Milk.
  • Dash of salt.
  • ½ to 1 Cup chopped nuts (optional).
  • 1½ teaspoon vanilla extract.
Directions:
  1. In a heavy sauce pan, over low heat, melt the chips.
  2. Stir in the Eagle brand milk, salt and vanilla. Stir in nuts if wanted.
  3. Spread evenly into a wax paper lined 8 or 9 inch square pan.
  4. Chill two hours or until firm.
  5. Turn fudge onto cutting board, peel off paper and cut into squares.
