Jumbo Pasta shells stuffed with cheese. Goes over well at pot lucks.
Variations:
For variety, try one or more of the following:
- Add one 10 oz. package of frozen chopped spinach (thawed and drained) to the cheese
mixture.
- Substitute 2 cups of cottage cheese for half the ricotta cheese.
- For meat filled shells, substitute 1lb ground beef, pork, turkey or TVP for half the cheese
mixture.
- Use the cheese mixture to stuff Manicotti instead of shells.

Jumbo Stuffed Shells |
Ingredients:
- 1 Pkg Jumbo Shells.
- 4 Cups (2 lbs.) ricotta cheese.
- 2 Cups (8 oz) shredded mozzarella cheese.
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese.
- 2 Eggs.
- ½ tsp salt.
- ¼ tsp ground black pepper.
- 3 Cups prepared spaghetti sauce.
Directions:
- Cook shells according to package directions.
- In a large bowl, stir together cheeses, eggs, salt and pepper.
- In a 13x9 inch backing dish, spread ½ cup of spaghetti sauce.
- Fill each cooked shell with about 1and ½ tablespoons of cheese mixture.
- Arrange the filled shells in the prepared baking pan. If aditional shells remain,
place them on top. Cover with remaining sauce.
- Sprinkle with additional parmesan or mozzarella cheese if desired.
- Cover with foil and bake 35 minutes at 375°
