Last Will and Testament

I Christopher Sees Sn. Being of sound mind and memory and considering the uncertainity of this mortal life desire to make this my last will and testament in the maner and form following that is to say, First I give and bequeath unto Joanna Sees and Arsanna Sees two of the heirs of Jonas Sees two hefers of my property. I give and bequeath unto Wm. M. Sees an other of the heirs of Jonas Sees the sum of $95.00 and to the rest of the heirs of said Jonas Sees dec. $5.00 to be divided amongst them. I give and bequeath to my daughter in law Temperance Sees the sum of $5.00. I give and bequeath unto Margaret H. Wright one sow and four pigs. I give and bequeath unto Ingoba Wright one of my daughters the land that I own of Grass Spring Run a branch of Indian Creek in Tyler County, W.Va. I give and bequeath unto Rebecca Pitts an other of my daughters $100.00. I give and bequeath unto Charistopher Pitts the sum of $50.00. I give and bequeath unto my son Christopher Sees Jr. the sum of $5.00 lawful money. I give and bequeath unto Elizabeth Martin one of my daughters the sum of $5.00. I give and bequeath unto Basheba Twyman the sum of $5.00. I give and bequeath unto Rachel Piles the sum of $5.00. I give and bequeath unto the heirs of Civilla Tucker dec. the sum of $5.00. These several legatees or sums of money that I have given unto the respected legatees I order to be paid as follows. First of all after my dec. I order my executor to pay all my debts and the cost of executing this my last will and testament. After said debts are setteled I order Rebecca Pitts to receive her dowery whatever it is first. The rest of them equally as the money may be collected. None of them to be due until one year after my dec. In the case there should not be as much as I have given away after my debts are paid I want them to share in ratio as I have willed. If more to be divided by the same rule and lastly I hereby appoint W. R. McIntyre as my sole executor of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all former wills by me made. Given under my hand and seal this April 27, 1882

County Court of Tyler County April Term 1882

The last Will and Testament of Christopher Sees Sn. deceased late of Tyler County was this day presented in Court for probate and execution of the said will by the said Christopher Sees Sn. was fully proved by the oaths of Elzenia M. Baker and Francis M. Baker subscribing witnesses to the same and thereupon the said will was ordered to be rocorded as and for the last will and testament of the said Christopher Sees Sn. deceased. Whereupon William R. McIntyre the person named in said will as Executor and with Benjamin F. White his surety therein entered into and acknowledged as bond as such executor in the penalty of $600.00 conditioned according to law certificate is therefore granted him for obtaining probate of said will in due form.
