Last Will and Testament

Falls Mills Tyler Co. W.Va. Nov. 4th 1869 Know all men by the presents that I Jacob Patterson do make this my last will and testament I do give to my wife Sarah J. Patterson one yearling colt & three hogs left on the place known as the place of Jeremiah Bullman deceased also five dollars to be paid to Sarah J. Patterson when my youngest heir becomes of age I also give to Mary C. Patterson my daughter one bed & bedding. I also give to Martha E. Patterson one bed & bedding I also leave the gun that William gave to Amos for him the gun is now in the possession of Andrew Ankrom. Whatever may remain at the time of my death & all just dues have been settled is to be put out on interest by the administrator so to remain until my youngest heir becomes of age at which time my son Amos and daughter Levina Jane are each to have a bed & bedding The remainder principal and interest is to be equally divided among my four children above mentioned if all living if not to be divided equally among so many as there may be except the five dollars to Sarah Jane as above mentioned. William Eddy is hereby Execuitor No public sale required One horse saddle and bridle to be sold by him at privet sale if not sold before.
