Families in Recovery is a group of people whose lives and families have been affected by drugs or alcohol.  Many of us wondered what we would do for fun and recreational activities when the drugs or alcohol were no longer part of our lives.  How could we associate with using and drinking friends if we desired to maintain our new found sobriety?

For many of us the answer was that we became involved with others who had faced the same problems.  Today we attend functions and activities together with our families and other clean and sober people.  These activities range from our monthly potlucks, to what is to many the highlight of the year, our annual picnic in July.  Our gatherings are family oriented and include activities for children of all ages.

Through these activities we have established new relationships, found other enjoyable activities that we could engage in with our new-found friends, and in this way we have learned to live a new way of life.  This has helped us to maintain and strengthen our recovery.

You are a member when you say you are.  There are no membership fees.  We are self- supporting through donations and fundraising activities.  All duties are performed by members who volunteer their time, and we have found that by carrying the message through service work we enhance our recovery.  We welcome both old-timers and new people to lend their assistance.  It is greatly appreciated.
