I am a retired electrician and a ASE CERTIFIED MECHANIC .
Rebuilding and repairing HONDA GOLDWING GL1500,
GL1800, alternators and COMP-U-FIRES.
I can also rebuild other brands of alternators, if they are one piece alternators and I can get
parts.
I wrote a rebuild manual on the disassembly, testing and rebuilding the GL1500
alternator. I have also made a video showing

In 1995 HITACHI moved their manufacturing from JAPAN to CHINA, since then they have been producing bad alternators. Broken
rotor windings or burned up rotor coils from inferior wire and insulation. I have rebuilt over 800 GL1500 alternators
and 95% were later models.
