Gary Krein
An ex-Montana farm boy, I find myself up to my eyeballs in a couple
things the Big Sky Country is short on--Saltwater
and Salmon.
Puget Sound and its Fish have become not only my livelihood, but my
cause and my passion as well, and I protect them as tenaciously in
Olympia as I pursue them on Possession Bar.
My wife Susan and I
own and operate All Star Fishing Charters in Everett, Washington and I
skipper the Morning Star, a 28 foot Uniflyte sport fishing boat.
As president of the
Charterboat Association of Puget Sound, a member of the Washington
Department of Fish and Wildlife citizen Sportfishing Advisory Board
and on the board of directors to Nation Association of Charterboat
Operators, I spend a lot of time on the enhancement and protection of
Sportfishing.
So what appeals to me
the most about charter fishing?
When I first got into it I thought it was because I loved to fish. I
do love to fish, but I've found the real appeal is the opportunity to
meet new people every day and to build new friendships. It's a fun
activity, people come out to have fun. They not forced to do it. they
're enthusiastic about it and always looking forward to the day. Under
those circumstances it's impossible to have a bad experience.
