Pender Harbor BC
This is North of Vancouver on the Sunshine Coast. Beautiful
country, above and below.
Skookumchuk Dive (Date??)
This is in the Skookumchuk Rapids. Current there can exceed 10 Knots, so
life there is prolific!

Here's an Octopus that we found nearby:

Pender Harbor diving, February 2000.
Home of the Cloud Sponges.

Not the best picture, but it gives you an idea of the size.
See Kathy in the top right corner? These guys are HUGE!

Looks like something out of a Horror Movie don't it?

See the dead parts of sponge on the right? Why is it dead?

Rockfish like to hang out in the Cloud Sponges for protection.

Here's one up close. These sponges are really pretty.

Here's a Lingcod guarding his/her eggs. Just goes to show you, even the ugly ones get
lucky.

Always lots of Kelp Greenlings. This is a male.

Lots of Crimson Anemones here. Always gorgeous to look at.

Another anemone that I could not identify.

White-Lined Dirona Nudibranc.
