Jackie House is a natural artist who has worked to develop her talent.  Her love of art has blossomed into a fulfilling career as an artist and teacher.  She received her Bachelor of Science in Art Education from Wayne State University and has continued with lifelong learning at Chicago’s Institute of Art, Northern Michigan University and Interlochen.

 

Jackie excels in watercolor, color pencil and pottery.  She has carved both wood and stone sculptures,  She enjoys photography and has numerous craft projects to her credit.  Her artwork has been featured in Detroit, Milford, Highland, Waterford, Lansing, Mackinaw City, Traverse City, Gaylord and Grayling. She currently has work displayed at several shops throughout Grayling.

 

Jackie has won several awards for her paintings and colored pencil work.

Jackie is a retired art teacher who has a studio in the woods where she lives with her musical husband and two cats.
