Sea Sponges
By Ellen
May 1st
I am cleaning out the sea,
my tentacles swishing with me.
I feel so free,
except that those animals are coming after me.
May 2nd
There comes a little fishy.
It’s going splashy, splashy.
“Oh man! It left.
It’s coming back!”
It wants to be with me.
May 3rd
Today there are more fish.
Getting more and more and more.
There all coming through my back door.
Leaving, coming back again and again.
“Will they ever stop? I’ll find out then.”
May 4th
Today is quiet and peaceful.
“No more fish, Hooray!”
just more food than usual.
May 5th
I’m cleaning the sea,
my tentacles swishing with me.
I feel so free,
except that those animals are coming after me.
It’s just a normal day. “Hip, hip, hooray.”
I’m catching some food. It’s just a normal day.
