We had to put all food in bear boxes. Take all food out of the car. We were all also extremely tired and we hoped for a peaceful night. Now, at bedtime, we went to bed, but not before hotdogs roasted over the fire.
Later, it got really dark out and noises went on and on. After a bit, the trees shadow over our tent, looked like the claws of an angry bear extended to grab me.
I called for mom or dad. Its just a tree, they had answered sleepily, go back to sleep. I refused.
When the fear had subsided and sleepiness had settled in, the loud music and partying still went on. They finally settled down around 1 am.
I heard Mom say once again go to sleep. This time I complied. I slept like a log while visions of people partying danced in my head.
