PC's in General

Q.  Why does my computer slow down over time (when using
      Windows 95 or later)?

A.  Much of this is due to bad operating system architecture
by Microsoft.  Large numbers of shortcuts, fonts, installed
programs, installed hardware, and/or a large Windows
registry can all slow down your system.  Things that are
most likely to SIGNIFICANTLY slow down new PC's include
     viruses, adware, and spyware.

Internet Related

Q.  Why do some web sites load faster than others, even when
connection speeds and such are the same?

A.  There are at least three reasons for this.  First of all, the
most common reason is the number of people actively visiting
a given web site.  The more people visiting it, the slower the
connection is for everyone using it.  Another reason has to do
do with internet traffic or congestion in general.  The final
reason has to do with power of that site's server and internet
connection.  Of course, it can be a combination of all these
     factors.
