Kit Doyle - Agriculture
Project Manager, So. Oregon Seed Oil Inc.
Kit will Speak on the agricultural developments of Canola, Camelina and other rotational crops on farm lands in JoCo. Kit, (a general contractor) also owns 'Doyle Homes'. and some of his workers are helping him with the seed oil production. His vision is to utilize the retired Co-op Grange grainery building in Grants Pass for processing local feed.

Orville Camp - Eco-System Restoration
Founder of the Natural Selection Alternative (NSA) and the Deer Creek Association
Orville will present a synopsis of a unique approach to harvesting forest products and lumber while restoring and maintaining all the essential qualities found in a bio diverse wilderness. His model of land stewardship, now 40 years old, is a self evident proven method of sustainability. It also addresses a plan for unprecedented savings in fire management costs.
On July 23 Orville will be leading a Town Hall on NSA at Anne Basker.

A presentation on INDUSTRIAL HEMP.
Hemp (not medicinal marijuana) is one of the highest yielding comercial product plant known to man. It can be made into a wide range of products. 100 years ago, before petroleum took over, hemp seed oil was the standard fuel oil, machine lubricant and paint base in the U.S. Hemp will produce 300 gallons per acre. Jill will give a summary of the Jerry Work Presentation "Lessons from Appalachia"
In April of 2009 Jerry Work traveled to the Appalachian region (in N. Carolina) to learn how they have so successfully leveraged their regionally produced art and crafts into a major industry with revenues of over $200 million a year. Nearly all of what they have done was accomplished in one decade. By learning from their very successful experience we in Southern Oregon have a real opportunity to learn from this experience... Jerry's presentation outlines a course of action.

  Marko Bey - Ecological Restoration/BioMass
Director Lomakatsi Restoration Project
Marko will talk about the Hope Mt. Project, Bio Mass and the prospects for the future.
Leaders of the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest, Siskiyou Project and Lomakatsi Restoration Project jointly announced an agreement is in place for the Hope Mountain Stewardship Project, which puts 1.4 million dollars in American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funding to on the ground Forest restoration work and quickly creates jobs for local people.

A list will go around for participants that wish to be acknowledged as resources for participants and to assist Panelists. They may also wish to share their experience and resource material in the time allotted.

We will entertain questions directed to panelists or other members present with background on topics.
There will be a designated amount of time allotted to participants for questions, comments, and answers. It may range from 1 to 2 minutes or more depending on the size of the audience. Each participant will be recognized by the Moderator by raseing by hands before participating, or coming to the microphone at the podium.
