Mrs. Nic Roghair, 55, died at her home three miles east of Maurice on Thursday, January 19, following an illness of eight years.

Mrs. Roghair (Ida Van Steenwyk) was born at Orange City on June 11, 1883. On March 6, 1903 she was united in marriage to Nick Roghair. Ten children were born to this union, three of whom preceded their mother in death. She is survived by her husband and the following children: Johanna, Mrs. Nic Steenhoven; Garrit, William, Nick, Ida, Mrs. Peter Goslinda; Henry and Elsie. Other survivors include seven grandchildren, two sisters and six brothers: Dick, Isaac, and Nol Herwynen of Orange City, Abram Van Steenwyk of Le Mars; Etta, Mrs. Jim Sorgdrager of Le Mars; Arnold Van Steenwyk of Hospers and Wm. Van Steenwyk of Orange City.

Funeral services were held at the First Reformed Church at Maurice on Saturday afternoon with the Rev. John Roggen and John Straks of Sanborn officiating.

W. A. Van Steenwyk, an old resident of Orange City, died at his home here last Friday of heart disease. He was sixty-five years of age and was an excellent man who had the respect of all. He leaves a wife and eight children.

The funeral was held on Saturday afternoon at 5 o'clock, Rev. J. F. Zwemer conducting the services.

Mrs. Peter Goslinga, 68, of Orange City died unexpectedly Wednesday at Alton.

Services were at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the Calvary Christian REformed Church in Orange City. The Rev. John T. Ebbers officiated. Burial was in the West Lawn Cemetery under the direction of the Van Gelder Funeral Home in Orange City.

Mrs. Goslinga, the former Ida Roghair, was born April 1, 1915, at Maurice.

She married Peter Goslinga, June 16, 1936, at Sioux City. They farmed near Orange City, moving to town 35 years ago.

She was a member of the Calvary Christian Reformed Church.

Survivors include her husband, Peter; two daughters, Mrs. Gil (Shirley) De Goei and Mrs. Dixon (Esther) Granstra, both of Sheldon; four brothers, Gerrit and William, both of Lakewood, Calif., Nick of Fond du Lac, Wis., and Henry of Orange City; two sisters, Mrs. Johanna Steenhoven of Lakewood and Mrs. Cletus (Elsie) Brunsman of Cypress, Calif., and five grandchildren.

Mr. Garrit N. Roghair of Lakewood, Calif., died Dec. 13 at Memorial Hospital of a massive
heart attack. Services were held at the Church of Our Fathers in Forest Lawn Memorial Park on Dec. 16 at 9 a.m. Chaplain Don Weemhof of the Reformed Church of Redlands, Calif., officiated. Burial was in Forest Lawn Memorial Park under the direction of Forest Lawn
Mortuary, Cypress, Calif.
Garrit Roghair was born Sept. 30, 1909 at Maurice. He married Tillie Zigtema in Orange City on Jan. 31, 1936. They lived in Orange City until Feb. 1960 when they moved to California.
Survivors include his wife, a son Dr. Garry Roghair of Redlands, a daughter, Linda, Mrs. Jim Corelli of Lakewood, Calif., three brothers, William of Lakewood, Calif., Nick of Fon[d] Du Lac, Wis., and Henry of Orange City; two sisters, Mrs. Johanna Steenhoven of Lakewood, Calif., and Mrs. Elsie (Cletus) Brunsman of Cypress and eight grandchildren.

Mrs. Marjorie Roghair, age 101, of Orange City, passed away on Friday, August 31, 2012, at the Orange City Area Health System Long Term Care Facility.

There will be a memorial service on Saturday, September 22, 2012, at 11:00am, at the Park Church in Long Beach, California. Interment will be at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Cypress, California. Arrangements are with the Oolman Funeral Home in Orange City.

Marjorie Kathryn born on November 2, 1910, in rural Alton, the daughter of Sip and Kathryn (Popma) Sipma. She was raised on the family farm near Newkirk, where she attended the Holland Township country school and the Newkirk High School.

Mrs. Marjorie Roghair, age 101, of Orange City, passed away on Friday, August 31, 2012, at the Orange City Area Health System Long Term Care Facility.

There will be a memorial service on Saturday, September 22, 2012, at 11:00am, at the Park Church in Long Beach, California. Interment will be at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Cypress, California. Arrangements are with the Oolman Funeral Home in Orange City.

Marjorie Kathryn born on November 2, 1910, in rural Alton, the daughter of Sip and Kathryn (Popma) Sipma. She was raised on the family farm near Newkirk, where she attended the Holland Township country school and the Newkirk High School.
