Eileen was born on July 5, 1935 in rural Shelbyville, IL, the daughter of Glen G. and Rita Belle (Weakly) Donnel. She graduated from Shelbyville High School in the Class of 1953. Eileen was a 4-H leader for 32 years and a member of the former Grace United Methodist Church in Westervelt, IL. She married Darrell E. Powers on May 16, 1954.
She is survived by her husband, Darrell; sons, Donald E. Powers of Shelbyville, IL, John D. Powers and wife Bonnie of Windsor, IL, Rick A. Powers and wife Cathy of St. Joseph, IL, and Jim L. Powers and wife Bonnie of Findlay, IL; daughters, Cindy E. Johnson of Shelbyville, IL and Bonnie S. White of Mattoon, IL; daughter-in-law, Carol Powers of Shelbyville, IL; brothers, Charles Donnel and wife Nancy of Decatur, IL and David Donnel and wife Cathy of Shelbyville, IL; twelve grandchildren; one step-grandchild; and nine great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Tim Powers; daughter, Julie Powers; daughters-in-law, Marla Powers and Lana Powers; sister, Patsy Donnel; grandson, Benjamin E. White; and step-grandson, Brandon Miller.
