We also have a 13 year old retired champion girl who earned her CD and Rally Novice titles. Harry, a retired Phalene is now learning agility with his new owner in the Seattle area!
2 dogs are shining stars at local nursing homes in Wenatchee as well.
I'm a current member of the Papillon Club of America. My past affiliations have been: Lone Star Akita Club (past secretary), Rocky Mountain Akita Club, Buckhorn Valley Kennel Club, and Papillon Association of Puget Sound. I have judged the Sweepstakes classes for the Papillon Club of Canada's National Specialty in 2003, as well as the sanctioned AKC 'B' Match for the Papillon Club of Northern California. Since then, I've judged Sweepstakes for American Eskimo Dogs at their National Specialty weekend, Sweepstakes at the Papillon Association of Puget Sound, and the Phalene Fun Match at the PCA National twice.
Jack (Am/Can. Ch. Akai's No Jacket Required) received an AWARD OF MERIT placement at the Papillon Club of America's National Specialty show held in Chattanooga, TN. I again am thrilled at his placements these last couple of months. Jack's been retired since December of 2010. We managed to get a 3rd place placement in the Veteran's class at the 2012 National Specialty.
Emmett, Am.Can. Ch. Akai's Dark Shadows, finished his championship on Memorial Day weekend 2011 at the age of 18 months. The following weekend he received Best of Breed over 3 other champion dogs including his grandpa Jack! Emmett is now retired and will live the sweet life in Montana.
Gadjet (Am. Ch. Teko's Go Go Gadjet) achieved his Canadian Championship in 2 weekends! Way to go, Gadjet! Gadjet's been a wonderful addition to my home. Thanks so much, Shannon Oliver for giving me this happy, happy boy! And a great big THANK YOU to Louann Hansen for showing him in Canada. They make a great team!

We are a small show kennel located near Richland, WA striving to produce Papillons who excel in type, temperament, movement, and health. Come inside to learn more about our dogs. We have had much success in the show ring since our beginnings in Papillons in 1995. Our first Phalenes were imported in 1998, and were featured on Animal Planet's "Breed All About It".
Since 2000 when we started breeding Papillons and Phalenes, 23 dogs have attained their Championships. 19 of those dogs are homebred, and 3 of those achieved Toy Group placements.
We are very excited at the success of all our dogs, including Akai's A Thorn Among Roses, VCD2. That means he's a Versatile Companion Dog with advanced titles, and U-CDX Akai's White Water Running CD, Can CD, NA, NAJ, CGC. She will be working on her tracking title next. Another youngster by the name of Luca is starting his obedience training and doing very well according to his owner.
Rudy, Chloe, and Felix (the honorary Phalene), live with Carol and are doing the Akai name proud in Agility. The kids run agility in both AKC and Teacup Dogs. Rudy has more initials behind his name than any other dog I know!
