á      Our second time in Tucson at Tucson Racquet and Fitness

á      67 Players from 22 states and Guatemala

o   Player who came the furthest: Judy Tavano form Chelmsford, MA 2266 miles!

o   11 Players from Illinois, 8 from Arizona, and 7 from California

á      Overall Player Attendance for our 29 tournaments:

o   2318 Players in 29 years (80/year average)

o   Illinois leads California as the State with the most overall players in our 29 years:

o   Illinois- 325, California- 316, Florida- 240

á      14 Players at the tournament have played in 20 or more WomenÕs Senior/Masters

á      An Amazing Array of former WSMRA tournament directors were in attendance including:

o   Debbie Chaney, Indiana

o   Jere Luttner, Texas

o   Kathie Trotter, Florida

o   Marcia Richards, Colorado

o   Cheryl Kirk, Illinois

o   Terry Rogers and Merijean Kelley, California

o   Nancy Kronenfeld and The Park Ridge Gang, Illinois

á      Largest divisions: 13 teams in 55+ Doubles, and 10 players in 65+ Singles

á      Overall: 31 Doubles teams and 44 players in Singles. 23 players played doubles only.

á      The Fun Doubles raised $267 for Breast Cancer Research

á      Thanks to many generous donors and bidders, the Silent Auction and banquet squares raised nearly $1000. This was split between Marie GomarÕs TRACKS program that assists at-risk children in Guatemala City, teaching them life skills and coping strategies through sports and racquetball; and the USARacquetball Collegiate Scholarship Program.

á      About 140 singles matches and 90 doubles matches were played during the tournament.

á      All this proves that the Racquetball Community is amazing, hard-working, hard-playing and generous!
