the Women's Senior/Masters Racquetball Association Website
The Women's Senior/Masters Racquetball
Association (WSMRA) is an organization dedicated to promoting racquetball as a lifetime
sport. Our members are women 35 and over who still wish to compete on a high
level but have fun at the same time. We sponsor a yearly National tournament of
self-refereed, round-robin play within age groups. All matches in our
tournament count in the current USAR ranking system. In this tournament you
will not only find yourself competing against some of the best women players in
the country, but you will have a great time. We stress fun, friends and good
sportsmanship.

34th ANNUAL
WSMRA NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS ARE RETURNING TO THE CHICAGO AREA!
The
34th Annual Tournament will be January 12-14, 2024 at the Glass Court Swim
and Fitness Club in Lombard, IL. The tournament directors will be Cheryl Kirk
and Laurel Davis. Fun Doubles to benefit Breast Cancer Research will be on the
afternoon of January 11. The hotel will be the Embassy Suites. We can’t
guarantee sunshine and palm trees but we can guarantee lots of great

The jacket will have the cool tournament
logo and be black with red trim. Enter online by December 28 to insure the correctly

ANNUAL WSMRA NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS HELD IN TUCSON
Our 33rd Annual Tournament was
held January 13–15, 2023 at the Tucson Racquet and Fitness Club in
Tucson, AZ. The results are at:

Thanks so much to all of
you who came and competed in this great event! Special thanks go to
Tucson Racquet and Fitness Club and General Manager Renee Sitter for
hosting our event, and for the ongoing support of Fran Davis and
Head/Penn Racquetball which is invaluable to the ongoing success of our
tournament and organization! Thanks to the many people who helped make this
tournament a success: the WSMRA Tournament Committee: Terry
Rogers (chair), Paula Sperling and Cindy Tilbury who as Tournament
Director took care of myriad details, assisted this year by WSMRA Board
members Jane Snyder who worked to design the trophy tags and Linda
Moore who arranged all the food at the club.
Volunteers Linda Lindberg, Lois Palmer, Eddie Snyder, Carol Gellman and
Nidia Funes and no doubt many others contributed in ways large and small
to make a great tournament experience. Thanks to Lynn Yeazell for
getting the tournament jackets done in plenty of time and to graphic
artist Karin McReynolds who finalized the jacket logo design. We raised $400 for breast cancer research at
the Fun Doubles, and another $400 from the silent auction to support the WSMRA
and USA Racquetball. Thanks to everyone
who donated and bid!!

32nd WSMRA
National Championships Recently Completed in Atlanta
After a year off due to the pandemic, the
WSMRA resumed its National Championships series with the 32nd Edition held
January 14-16, 2022, at Recreation ATL in Lilburn, Georgia.
Many thanks to Tournament Directors Cindy
Tilbury and Lynn Fonseca, our WSMRA Tournament Chair Terry Rogers, Jason Chan
and the Club staff, the folks who did the live streams, the Sonesta Hotel and
Fran Davis of Ball Sponsor HEAD/Penn for sticking with us as we postponed for a
year due to Covid. And a big thank-you to all the players who attended and
everyone who helped out and contributed in many ways to make the tournament a
success! It was a great way to resume our Annual Tournament! And of
course congratulations to all the winners!
